How much of the stump and roots do you remove?
Stump grinding removes the visible stump and grinds it down below ground level using specialized equipment. In most cases, we also remove the main stump mass and some of the larger surface roots (buttress roots), which allows you to replant or landscape the area.
How deep do you grind stumps?
Typically 6-12 inches below grade, allowing you to replant, lay sod, or otherwise restore the area.
Will grinding damage my yard?
Our equipment is designed to minimize impact. Some minor surface disturbance is normal, but we clean up thoroughly and can advise on site restoration.
How long does stump removal take?
Most stumps are removed in 1-2 hours. Larger or multiple stumps may take longer — we’ll advise during your estimate.
Do you remove surface roots?
Yes — if requested, we can grind out surface roots along with the main stump for a cleaner result.
